More Photos!

We have truly been blessed with photos this month! This photo came from another EN family, who went to visit their little girl over Thanksgiving. Thank you again Deidre! She told me that Mason is a sound sleeper and is just as handsome in person as he is in pictures. She also had a chance to pray over Mason, which is such a comforting and priceless gift (for us and Mason).
We are waiting on a legal update...we were submitted to PGN on Oct 9th and have not been notified if we were ever KO'd or not.

Still no information about any new laws or amendments. The information has literally changed almost everyday since Nov 20th, but no final announcements or decisions have been made. I am not even going to speculate on a date or what may or may not be announced at this point. It's too confusing and pretty much keeps me in a constant state of worry. However, if you would like to try and keep up on the news I follow the JCICS, ADA and Guatadopt websites daily. They are credible sources and are pretty much right on w/ any updates or changes. I will post as soon as a final announcement is made.

We appreciate those who are following our journey & blog and those who are holding us close in their thoughts and prayers. We are still praying that our case will be finalized on the Guate side by the end of the year.

Extra Photos!

I received these photos over the weekend from another family who went down to the EN last week to visit their son. I am so grateful for these extra pictures (thanks again Stephanie!). He is just too precious. The wait is getting harder every day. She said he loves his swing!! I hadn't planned on getting one for the house, but may have to if he enjoys it that much.

As much as I hate missing him grow and change so quickly, I just thank God that he is a healthy and happy baby. There was a time early in our referral when he was hospitalized that I honestly didn't even know if this child would live. Thank you God, for this wonderful, precious little boy that you have brought into my life.

Supposedly the amendments (for the grandfather clause) are to be voted on tomorrow. Please keep our family and the MANY other waiting families and children in your prayers....pray that the grandfather clause is passed so those in-process are allowed to complete their adoption.

Warning....MUCHO CUTENESS Ahead!

Hello! Thought I would post the most recent pictures of Mason. These were taken on Nov 8. He is such a big boy and looks so happy. Seriously...I know I am biased...but this child is ABSOLUTELY PRECIOUS!! Could he get any cuter?!?! Our health report states he is 12 lb 8oz & 23 inches long. He is "happy, smiles alot and is eating good." We are still waiting on a case update. At least we have some new pictures to tide us over while we wait for the case update. (Edited to Add: I received an email w/ a case update right after I originally posted this. As of last week our case has NOT been KO'd of PGN. Seems crazy to be disappointed that we haven't been KO'd...but I know it's coming since we weren't submitted w/ PA on 10/09. This is a little , ok alot, disappointing...I thought for sure our case had probably already been KO'd and resubmitted. I know God's hand is in this...I know he is present in this journey...and I must remember His timing is better than mine.)

Please continue to pray for Mason's health and safety. Also pray that an amendment to allow in-process cases to continue after Dec. 31, 2007 will be voted on soon and passed. We continue to pray that our case will be finalized on the Guatemalan side by the end of the year.

Feeling a bit anxious...

Ok, I admit it...I am feeling very anxious this week. I havn't heard a word about our case status w/ PGN. This past Tuesday marked 3 weeks since submission. I really thought we would have received word of a KO by now. I am hoping that we have already been KO'd and resubmitted and just don't know it yet.

Today Mason is 17 weeks...by the way, when exactly is one to stop counting in weeks and start using months?? Hopefully we will receive our November photos/health update/case update in the next few days. I promise to post any new pic's or news as soon as we receive it! I came across this poem on an adoption forum...it really touched me , so I thought I would share it.

Kisses in the Wind

I hold you in my heart and touch you in my dreams,
You are here each day with me, at least that's how it seems.

I know you wonder where we are... what's taking us so long,
But remember child, I love you so and God will keep you strong.

Now go outside and feel the breeze and let it touch your skin...
Because tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God hold you in His hand until I can be with you.
I promise you, my darling, I'm doing all that I can do.

Very soon, you'll have a family for real, not just pretend.
But for tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God wrap you in His arms and hold you very tight.
And let the angels bring the kisses that I send to you each night.
