I had hoped to post on Mother's Day, but it was a pretty busy day. My first Mother's Day...it was wonderful. Mason was dedicated at Church that morning, then we went out to eat with my Mom, Dad, Brother, Sis-In-Law and Big D. That afternoon we just hung out at our house and ate cupcakes that I made the day prior. Big D insisted that everyone had to have a candle in their cupcake, make a wish and blow it out. Can you tell he is in BIRTHDAY mode? He will be turning 4 on May 25th.
Health Update: Mason had a Dr's appt on May 13th. He was 19# 7.5 oz and 28.5" long. He still had a rash, which seemed to be getting worse. The Dr. instructed us to stop using our current baby bathing products and lotions and to try a new baby wash from Aquaphor...to only bathe him every other day and not to use lotions. We had been using the Bedtime Bath by J&J and bathing him each night. Anyway, the Dr. said if this doesn't help the rash, he would look at a possible milk allergy next. Well, we have followed the Dr's instructions and Mason's skin looks SO much better! It's a little dry though...wonder if Aquaphor makes a baby lotion?? I have their skin protectant (which I love). We hope his skin continues to improve and it was really as simple as changing bath products!

I love getting updates about little Mason. How I miss him so...I promise to come have a play date soon! Glad his allergies is not the cats, from the sounds of it, he loves the "kitty". Absolutely precious!
Happy Belated Mother's Day! Sounds like it was perfect. :) He is so cute!!
I found your blog via a comment on the Purple Cellar blog...and have thoroughly enjoyed reading about and seeing pictures of your wonderful family. What a lovely story—and what a beautiful baby (but all babies are beautiful!). The information about the closing of the Guatemala door led me to think about an adoption Web site that you and your friends might be interested in. It is babiesbygod.org. The couple who created this Web site, have adopted fifteen children. They are an amazing family. I think you'll enjoy reading about their magnificent efforts on behalf of children needing to be adopted. May God bless you.
